The Lahore Science Mela, a merger of science and culture, invites everyone with open arms. Don’t miss this chance of witnessing the grand festival in the heart of Pakistan, where science will breathe in all its glory. The Khwarizmi Science Society and the Team Lahore Science Mela is delighted to host a first of its kind science festival where science will grow out of the boundaries of gender, age and societal constraints.
To be held on January 28-29, 2017, at Ali Institute of Education, the Lahore Science Mela is the very first occasion in Pakistan where the rich culture of Lahore will embrace the magic of science. Open to all, the fair will bring home the oft-forgotten reality that science is neither mere books nor dry facts, but a living entity that is capable to mesmerize and leave us spellbound. We expect to see a fruitful interaction among scientists, educators, doctors, engineers and public - and that, too, in the cultural hub of Pakistan i.e. Lahore. Every individual, family, group or organization seeing this is cordially invited to grace the occasion. You can participate as an exhibitor, a sponsor, a volunteer or just an attendee.
Exposing the True Colours of Science:
Let’s take a moment to think about what ‘science’ means to us? What’s our definition of science?
Is it just a subject that we study at school? That’s probably the first thing that comes to mind; a bunch of dry textbook jargon trying to explain convoluted concepts in its own alien language.
Entry is free and open to all. Parking is inside the Ali Institute. However, we expect that parking will fill up quickly and one has to park their vehicles outside. For more info, please visit the following link: Event Page. There is no registration fee to attend the Mela.
