Sardar Charanjeet Singh Shot Dead or the Society as a whole!

Pakistan is such a strange Muslim country. If minorities try to feed the poor iftari, they get killed. Sardar Charanjeet Singh, an active member of Sikh Community of Peshawar, Interfaith Harmonist was shot dead in Peshawar on Kohat Road. Should we not raise voice against it? They are not citizen’s of Pakistan? Putting these questions on people who raise voice over Palestine and Burma but not there own people.

The famous Sikh community activist from Peshawar is no more. He was gunned down in abroad daylight at his shop three days ago. I hope the government does everything to track down his killers and gives them the strongest punishment possible! I am NOT going to talk anything about his assassination because not only I think there is absolutely no word in the dictionary that can possibly reflect my feelings right now but also because I believe that in order to write about his death, I, first have to acknowledge that he has gone, and as of now, my mind refuses to do that.

Rest In Peace, Sardar Jee. We’ve failed you and ourselves! A dignified Human Rights and Peace Activist killed in Peshawar. A true humanitarian is gone. We should be nothing but extremely sad. What a shame. We couldn’t protect the man who promoted interfaith harmony and discouraged violence in Pakistan. Religious extremism won again. We are sorry Mr Singh.

An inclusive Iftar

Are y’all sure it’s Islam you’re following? Not really seeing the angle here, it’s almost as if you protect a fragile self-identity through acts of exclusion and violence. Mr. Charanjeet Singh, the person behind the Sikh-led iftar in Peshawar, who was being celebrated all over the internet was shot dead by unknown gunmen in Peshawar. He was a passionate advocate of interfaith harmony and strived to see an inclusive society.

How do we even expect progress in our society when the figures like Mr.Charanjeet gets shot by UNKNOWN people? Rest in peace, Sir. You were everything our society needed and we all should be.

Working for dream of pluralistic Pakistan

It’s Ramzan and arguably one of the hottest days of the calendar.

“When we gather for humanity then we don’t use religions to divide ourselves, and today is one such day, so we all would wait and will eat together with our friends. How is it even possible that there is religious harmony event and Sikh community is not present? I will come from Peshawar to support your wonderful cause.”

Someone like Charanjeet Singh, who happened to be a renowned peace activist and senior community leader having organized and participated in multiple events up to government and international level traveled all the way from another city to join a small iftar organized by a local social activist not only shows his commitment towards his cause of pluralism but also speaks volume about his character.

Irreparable loss for Islamic Republic of Pakistan over demise of its SIKH citizen

I fail to understand what threat such a humble person, a humanitarian would have posed to those cowards who did this. We really needed him at this hour when religious extremism is taking over, but probably we don’t deserve such people, we are pathetic people. Late charanjeet singh was our brother. Whosoever shot him is a criminal. Also, Shame on those who are “zabardasti” turning it to “muslim-terrorism”

  1. It is really unfortunate and I condemn it in the strongest words, but it is maily the link of defaming Pakistan. A lot of money is spent for this purpose by hiring enemies for these acts of barbarianism
